PTC India Limited has announced the commencement of power supply from the Nikachhu hydroelectric project in Bhutan to Assam, as part of a long term power purchase agreement (PPA).
The PPA was executed by PTC with Bhutan, along with a power sale agreement with the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) in 2014. The 118 MW (2×59 MW) hydro project includes provisions for supplying power during peak hours, contributing significantly to meeting the state’s demand during peak periods.Top of Form
