NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL) has secured the bid for 200 MW round the clock (RTC) capacity in the tender floated by Railway Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL) for selection of project developers for supply of 750 MW of RTC power from grid-connected renewable energy power projects with or without storage.
The won capacity entails an installation of 660 MW renewable energy capacity with a capital outlay of about Rs 46 billion. In the reverse auction, the discovered tariff is Rs 4.37per kWh and the energy generated will be procured by REMCL.
