The unit-2 of the NTPC Telangana super thermal power project (TSTPP) has achieved full load, generating 800 MW.
The project is now focused on stabilisation efforts and progressing towards trial operations for the unit. TSTPP, situated near Ramagundam village in Karimnagar district, was initiated with a total power generation capacity of 1,600 MW (2×800 MW each) in its first phase. Ultimately, it is planned to reach a capacity of 4,000 MW. Employing highly efficient ultra supercritical technology, this achievement signifies a significant step towards ensuring the state’s self-reliance in electricity.
