NTPC Limited has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) to explore various options such as thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind, any other renewable energy, energy storage or any combination of same.
The aim is to provide approximately 1,200 MW or above of round-the-clock and uninterrupted electricity, meeting the expansion needs of NALCO’s smelter plant in Angul, Odisha.
