SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has secured a 200 MW solar project through an e-reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
The project is set to be executed on a build-own-and-operate basis, comes with an estimated development cost of Rs 11 billion. The awarded project will be developed within the 1,125 MW Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited solar park located at Khavda, Gujarat. The project was was secured by SJVN at a tariff of Rs 2.66 per unit, following a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. The project is expected to generate about 504 million units (MUs) in the first year and the cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be about 11,732 MUs. As per request for selection the project will be commissioned in a period of 18 months from the date of signing of power purchase agreement (PPA). The PPA shall be signed between GUVNL and SGEL for 25 years.
