The central government has laid the foundation stone for NTPC Renewables Energy Limited’s (NREL) 630 MW Barethi solar power project in Madhya Pradesh.
The solar project is located in Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh and entails an investment of Rs 32 billion and would be sufficient to light more than 300,000 households upon completion. It is being developed under Mode-8 of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s ultra mega renewable energy power parks scheme.
