The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has notified the CERC (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2024.
As per the notification, the date of commercial operation (COD) of a generating station or unit thereof or a transmission system or element thereof and associated communication system shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the Grid Code. In the event of mismatch of COD between associated transmission and/or generating stations, the liability for the transmission charges shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Sharing Regulations, 2020 as amended from time to time. Further, tariff in respect of a generating station and emission control system, wherever applicable, may be determined for the whole of the generating station or unit thereof, and tariff in respect of a transmission system may be determined for the whole of the transmission system or element thereof or associated communication system.
