Raychem RPG achieves significant milestone to facilitate faster execution of electricity distribution projects with its Make in India initiative
Raychem RPG (P) Limited has expanded its portfolio by completing the very stringent year-long pre-qualification (PQ) test protocols at the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) for its 245 kV cable accessories manufactured in India. CPRI has now approved its 245 kV, extra high voltage cable accessories (EHVCA) for usage in the country for different projects, which are so far dependent on imports from Europe. Raychem RPG is the only organisation to have received the PQ test report following a rigorous process that took over a year to complete. This bears testimony to Raychem RPG’s unheralded technical and technological prowess in the area and the success of the Make in India initiative. This success will enhance the acceptability of Raychem RPG’s 245 kV cable accessories not only in Indian markets but also in SAARC countries, where many infrastructure projects are currently ongoing, significantly aiding in better project management. The product, belonging to the EHVCA category, is produced in the Halol plant in Gujarat using world-class materials.
OMICRON introduces PARADIMO 100
OMICRON has introduced PARADIMO 100, an ultra-high-frequency partial discharge monitoring solution for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and gas-insulated lines (GIL). OMICRON’s PARADIMO 100 is a smart edge computing device for the continuous monitoring and trending of partial discharge (PD) activity in GIS and GIL. It automatically detects and classifies insulation defects and issues alerts based on the defect classification for reliable risk assessment. PARADIMO 100 simultaneously monitors PD activity in different ultra-high-frequency ranges using wideband and medium-band filters for optimal signal-to-noise ratios in noisy environments. The web user interface allows easy access for configuring measurements and alert settings as well as viewing real-time PD data and recorded trends.
