GE Power India Limited has secured contracts totaling Rs 7.75 billion from Jaiprakash Power Ventures.
The contracts involve design and engineering along with the supply of wet limestone-based flue-gas desulphurisationfor two power plants. The Nigrie super thermal power plant (TPP) and the Bina TPP, both under Jaiprakash Power Ventures, will benefit from these contracts. The order value amounts to Rs 4.91 billion plus 18 per cent gross sales tax for the Nigrie plant, and Rs 2.84 billion for the Bina plant. The execution timelines are set at 33 months for the Nigrie plant and 30 months for the Bina plant.
