Oman’s OETC to ink agreements worth OMR322 million for two transmission projects

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) is set to ink agreements totalling over OMR22 million.

These agreements will fortify the vital Rabt Phase 2 project and Dhofar’s electricity network expansion project. The signing ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in the presence of the Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation. Rabt Phase 2, also known as the NorthSouth Interconnection Project, aims to establish a unified electricity grid in the sultanate. It will connect the Main Integrated System Network with Dhofar’s electricity network through the installation of transmission lines spanning 590 km between the 400/132 kV grid stations at Duqm and Dhofar. Additionally, a 400 kV switching station will be set up in the Shaleem area. Top of Form
