In the fiscal year 2023-24, REC Limited has achieved a significant milestone by sanctioning loans amounting to Rs 3.59 trillion, marking a remarkable 33.66 per cent increase from the previous year’s Rs 2.68 trillion.
Notably, a substantial portion of Rs 1.36 trillion was allocated to renewable energy projects, reflecting a substantial surge from the Rs 213.71 billion sanctioned in the preceding fiscal year. The disbursements also witnessed an increase, totaling 66.72 per cent higher than the previous year, reaching Rs 1,614.62 billion in 2023-24.
