JSW acquires 45 MW wind project from Reliance in Maharashtra

JSW Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Neo Energy Limited, has acquired 45 MW wind based renewable energy project from Reliance Power Limited  located in Jath, Sangli District, Maharashtra.

The business transfer agreement, as announced on March 22, 2024, has been successfully concluded following the receipt of requisite regulatory approvals. With this acquisition, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 12.5 GW, inclusive of operational, under-construction, and secured capacities across wind, thermal, and hydro energy segments. Moreover, the company boasts 3.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro pumped storage projects, further strengthening its position in the renewable energy landscape.
