MoU signed for solar power development in Malaysia

Japan-based Shizen Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Majuperak Holdings Bhd for the development of solar power in Perak state, Malaysia.

The cooperation agreement concerns the co-development of ground-mounted solar power projects, feasibility studies on bodies of water suitable for floating solar schemes and co-funding of solar projects. The collaboration aims to enhance renewable energy and positive outcomes for local communities, including job creation, technology sharing, and economic prosperity. The MoU intends to boost the Perak state’s socio-economic development while supporting its 2030 target and low-carbon energy initiatives.
