Valenzuela’s Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), controlled by Beacon Electric Asset Holdings, Inc. (partly owned by PLDT Inc.) has completed the expansion of its 115 kV Malinta substation in Valenzuela City, Philippines.
Under this, PHP170.81 million was invested to replace the substation’s conventional single bus switchyard with modern indoor-type gas-insulated switchgear with double-bus configuration. The substation will help limit the incidents of scheduled and long power outages in Malabon city.
