The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has approved funds to support the modernisation of the power sector in the Philippines, focusing on the enhancement of electricity transmission and distribution networks.
Moreover, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE). This MOU aims to develop and implement civil nuclear energy policy, building on the civil nuclear cooperation agreement (123 Agreement). This agreement supports expanded cooperation on zero-emission energy.
