SEACEF II invests in Nami Distributed Energy to advance its energy solutions in Vietnam

The Southeast Asia Clean Energy Facility II (SEACEF II) has invested USD10 million in Nami Distributed Energy to advance its distributed energy solutions, which include larger-scale rooftop solar installations and on-site energy solutions like battery storage and energy efficiency systems (BESS) in Vietnam.

This funding aligns with Vietnam’s new Decree 80/2024/ND-CP, which establishes a direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) mechanism. This decree allows renewable energy producers to sell electricity directly to large consumers, providing significant opportunities for businesses to access cost effective renewable energy.
