Singapore-based Levanta Renewables has announced plans to acquire a 28.7 MWp rooftop solar project in Dong Nai province, Vietnam.
This installation is linked to local logistics firm Tien Nga JSC covering around 200,000 square meters. The project supports Vietnam’s goals to diversify energy sources by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The solar system is expected to generate over 34 GWh of electricity annually, supplying green energy to Vietnam Electricity under long-term power purchase agreements. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade is considering a proposal for Vietnam Electricityto purchase excess rooftop solar power from homes and offices at VND671 per kWh, which is lower than current commercial rates.
