Coal India Limited (CIL) and GAIL (India) Limited have signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) to establish a coal to synthetic natural gas (SNG) plant in Bardhaman, West Bengal.
The JVA will be structured as a private limited company, with CIL holding a 51 per cent stake and GAIL 49 per cent. The joint venture company will have an initial paid-up share capital of Rs 100,000 and an authorised share capital of Rs 110 million.
