GAIL signs MoU with RRVUNL to promote clean power in Rajasthan

GAIL (India) Limited has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU ) with  Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) to optimise the operations of RRVUNL’s gas-based power plants in Rajasthan.
Both the companies are planning to explore the possibility of transferring RRVUNL’s gas power plants in Dholpur and Ramgarh to a new joint venture company between GAIL and RRVUNL. Additionally, they will work together to set up around 1,000 MW of solar and wind power projects on suitable land, aiming to provide round-the-clock power.
