IndiGrid has collaboratedwith British International Investment (BII), Norfund, and Techno Electric to develop new transmission projects in India. BII and Norfund will invest in three ongoing interstate transmission system projects: Ishanagar power transmission limited (IPTL), Dhule power transmission limited (DPTL), and Kallam transco limited.
These projects will help transport renewable energy to around 6 GW in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Techno Electric will help develop IPTL and DPTL, investing some capital and handling all project execution. IndiGrid plans to buy out all stakes in these projects once they start generating revenue.
