The Ministry of Power (MoP) has launched three new online portals aimed at boosting the efficiency and disaster readiness of the power sector.
First, the Portal for Online Monitoring of Projects – Thermal (PROMPT) is designed to track and analyse thermal power projects in real-time. This portal will assist project managers in making swift decisions and addressing issues early, helping to ensure that projects stay on schedule. Second, the Online Portal for Monitoring Survey and Investigation Activities of Hydro Electric Projects and Pumped Storage Projects (JAL VIDYUT DPR Portal) will support the development of hydro and pumped storage projects. It aims to improve project management and communication between developers and agencies by providing a centralised digital platform and enhancing transparency. Additionally, the Disaster Resilient Infrastructure for Power Sector (DRIPS) Portal has been introduced to facilitate the rapid identification and deployment of resources. This portal ensures that disruptions in the power sector are addressed promptly and efficiently during disaster situations.
