BC Jindal Group is planning to invest approximately USD2.5 billion in India’s renewable energy sector over the next five years.
This investment will be managed through a newly established entity, Jindal India Renewable Energy (JIRE), which will focus on renewable power generation and the manufacturing of solar cells and modules. JIRE aims to generate 5 GW of power through solar, wind, hybrid, and firm and dispatchable renewable energy technologies, contributing significantly to India’s decarbonisation goals.
