South Africa’s National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) has signed long-term agreements with 19 local companies in the various categories of overhead line construction panels, i.e., engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
Five companies have been signed on for EPC, nine for PC, and a total of 17 companies for construction. The 19 companies that were chosen after issuing the tender in May 2023 are Ady Em Technical, the Bona-GPWG JV, Imbawula Technical Services and Suppliers Group, KRM Global Works, Letacla, Melees Electrical Lines, Mico Construction, Mkhulu Electro Distribution Projects, Murray and Roberts, NYC Water and Mining, Olot Engineering, Power Line Africa, Rethuseng Live Line and Services, Siya and Aya Engineering, Siyavuya Power Projects, SKM Africa, Take Five To Make Ten General Trading, Thenga Holdings, and Tractionel Enterprise. These entities would complete tenders valued at approximately ZAR 32 billion over the next eight years.
