RECPDCL transfers two SPVs to AESL and Sterlite Grid 38

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs),  Khavda IV A Power Transmission Limited to Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) and Khavda IV C Power Transmission Limited to Sterlite Grid 38 Limited.

The projects will facilitate the evacuation of power from the Khavda area in Gujarat, under Phase-IV, which encompasses 7 GW of capacity. The Khavda IV A Power Transmission project includes the construction of 3,10.31 km of 765 kV transmission line, the creation of 765 kV and 400 kV bus sections at the KPS3 gas insulated substation (GIS), and associated works. The Khavda IV C Power Transmission project involves the establishment of a 765/400 kV substation with 4 x 1500 MVA and a 400/220 kV substation with 2 x 500 MVA capacity at Boisar-II (GIS), along with the construction of 257.29 km of 765 kV line and 20.725 km of 400 kV line. AESL and Sterlite Grid 38 Limited were selected as the transmission service providers for the Khavda Phase IV Part A and Part C projects, respectively. This selection was made through a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL. The projects will be developed on a build, own, operate and transfer basis. Both projects are scheduled for implementation within 24 months.
