Adani Power Limited (APL) has completed acquisition of the Coastal Energen Private Limited (CEPL) for the Melamaruthur (Tuticorin) Thermal Power Project – Phase I.
With this, CEPL stands dissolved and Moxie Power Generation Limited, a special purpose vehicle incorporated by APL will act as surviving entity. CEPL has implemented the 1,200 MW (2×600 MW) coal fired thermal power plant in the district of Tuticorin in the state of Tamil Nadu. Unit I of the project was commissioned in December 2014 and Unit II was commissioned in January 2016.
