Egypt’s cabinet has approved plans of the UAE-based renewable energy developer Masdar to develop solar and energy storage projects in the country.
The cabinet has approved the company’s 1.2 GW solar plant, along with a 240 GWh energy storage project. These approvals came after Egypt and the UAE recently decided to work together to increase the capacity of renewable energy by 4 GW, beginning next summer.
