NHPC Limited has declared the winners for developers to set up 1.2 GW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects in India.
The winners include Essar Renewables (300 MW), Jevargi Solar (Rays Infra) (200 MW), Onward Solar (50 MW), Avaada Energy (350 MW) and Mahindra Susten (300 MW). Essar Renewables, Jevargi Solar (Rays Infra) and Onward Solar had a quoted bid of Rs 2.56 per kWh while Avaada Energy and Mahindra Susten quoted Rs 2.57 per kWh. The tender was released in May 2024. According to the tender guidelines, the total capacity for the bidders could be 1,200 MW with the greenshoe option but only 600 MW without it.
