SBI sanctions Rs 100.5 billion for 1,600 MW ultra super critical power project in Jharkhand

The State Bank of India (SBI) has sanctioned a loan of Rs 100.5 billion to Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for the development of an ultra-supercritical thermal power project in Koderma, Jharkhand.

The 1,600 MW project, consisting of two 800 MW units, is part of the power ministry’s initiative to increase energy capacity by 2030, aligning with India’s expanding energy requirements.
