Vena Energy and Shell Eastern Trading to export solar power from Indonesia to Singapore

Vena Energy and Shell Eastern Trading have secured conditional approval from the energy market authority of Singapore to export 400 MW of solar power from the Riau Islands, Indonesia to Singapore.

This approval is part of a project that will generate over 2.6 TWh of renewable energy annually through more than 2 GW of solar photovoltaic plants and 8 GWh of battery storage systems. This initiative supports Singapore’s transition to a low-carbon future.
