THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has signed an memorandum of agreement (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to develop two pumped storage projects (PSPs).
The PSPs have a capacity of 1,600 MW and will require an investment of Rs 88 billion. The agreement includes plans for two 800 MW projects; at Bisanpura in Bundi and at Rampura in Tonk. Bisanpura PSP will use water from the Gudha Dam and Rampura PSP will use water from existing Bisalpur reservoir thereby improving grid stability and providing sustainable energy solutions.
