REC Limited has disbursed loans worth Rs 909.55 billion for the half-year ending on September 30, 2024, marking a 20.10 per cent increase year-on-year.
The company’s renewable energy loans grew significantly, rising by 92.68 per cent year-on-year to Rs 112.97 billion. In the second quarter of 2024-25 alone, REC disbursed Rs 473.03 billion in loans, a 13.71 per cent increase compared to Rs 415.98 billion in the same period of 2023-24. Of this amount, Rs 59.46 billion was directed towards renewable energy projects, reflecting a 37.35 per cent year-on-year increase.
