Juniper Green Energy, ACME Solar Holdings, and Sembcorp Green Infra have been selected as the winners in Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited’s (SECI) auction to develop 600 MW interstate transmission system- connected wind-solar hybrid power projects (Tranche IX).
At a tariff of Rs 3.25 per kWh, ACME was awarded 300 MW and Juniper was awarded 150 MW. Sembcorp was also awarded 150 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.26 per kWh. Initially, the tender was floated for an initial capacity of 400 MW and later expanded to 600 MW. According to the tender guidelines, hybrid power projects must comprise one solar and one wind power component. Wind turbine models from the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers and modules registered in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers are allowed for deployment in the projects.
