Taihan Cable & Solution Company has secured a KRW840 billion contract from SP PowerAssets, to supply and install 400 kV power grids across the city-state.
The deal value is equal to nearly 30 per cent of Taihan Cable’s consolidated revenue of KRW2.84 trillion in 2023. A significant component of this contract is the NDC 373 project, valued at KRW500 billion, which marks the largest export of HVAC transmission lines in South Korea’s history. The project aims to establish a 400 kV underground power grid, the highest voltage used in Singapore, to accommodate the country’s increasing energy demands, particularly due to the growth of artificial intelligence technologies and data centres. Taihan Cable will implement the project on a turnkey basis, managing all phases from grid design and production to installation, connections, and testing.
