The Gansu Provincial Energy Bureau has approved the 750 kV Wuwei North (Oasis) transmission and transformation project, which is a crucial part of the ‘Gong Electricity into Zhejiang’ initiative.
The project is being developed by State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company, a subsidiary of China’s largest transmission company, State Grid Corporation of China. The project includes the construction of a new 750 kV substation with transformation capacity of 4×2100 MVA and 232.5 km of 750 kV transmission lines. This will be the first 750 kV substation in Wuwei. The SGCC unit is prioritising this project, collaborating with the State Grid Planning and Design Institute and other stakeholders to expedite site surveys, construction preparations, and preliminary evaluations, aiming for timely project approval and commencement.
