UPEIDA and GEAPP collaborate on solar park project on Bundelkhand Expressway

Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) will collaborate with the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to develop a 450-500 MW solar park on the Bundelkhand Expressway.

This pilot project in India, will establish a green energy corridor across the expressway. The main objective of the project is to enhance energy supply, promote electric vehicle  adoption, and provide clean energy to surrounding villages. The solar park has an available land area of 1,700 hectares. The project is estimated to cost approximately Rs 18 billion and will generate electricity at a competitive rate. It has a total project term extending for 25 years from the commercial operation date.
