Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has acquired two special purpose vehicles (SPVs), Barmer I Transmission Limited and Khavda PS1 and 3 Transmission Limited from PFC Consulting Limited.
Barmer I Transmission Limited involves the establishment of a new 765/400/220kV Barmer-I Pooling substation, 765kV & 400kV D/C transmission lines, and associated bay extension works on a build own operate basis (BOOT) in Rajasthan. The Khavda PS1 and 3 Transmission Limited,’ involves the establishment of the “Provision of Dynamic Reactive Compensation at Khavda Pooling Station 1 (KPS1) and Khavda Pooling Station 3 (KPS3)” on a BOOT basis. This project includes the installation of two ±300 MVAR STATCOMs at KPS1 and one ±300 MVAR STATCOM at KPS3, along with associated bay extension works in Gujarat.
