IndiGrid has partnered with British International Investment (BII) and the Norwegian Climate Investment Fund, managed by Norfund, to launch EnerGrid.
This platform will focus on bidding for and developing new transmission and standalone battery energy storage system projects in India. With EnerGrid, IndiGrid, BII, and Norfund, along with Kommunal Landspensjonskasse have committed about USD300 million, with each partner contributing roughly USD100 million through this joint venture. This funding will help EnerGrid target projects worth around USD1.2 billion in the coming years. Once these projects start commercial operations, IndiGrid will acquire them fully at a pre-set value.
