Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has been declared as the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding process for establishing the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) for evacuation of power from Rajasthan renewable energy zone (REZ) Phase-IV (Part-4: 3.5 GW): Part A on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
The project involves the construction of a 765/400 kV substation near Ghiror in Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh, and the installation of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines spanning Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. It also includes the augmentation and extension of bays at under-construction and operational substations across these states.
