OMICRON’s CMC 500 has set a new benchmark for output performance, versatility, cybersecurity and workplace safety. The modular, multi-phase CMC 500 protection relay test set enables highly efficient testing of protection relays and complete validation of protection systems. With up to seven voltages (300 V each) or ten currents (30 to 60 A per channel, 450 A single-phase), the CMC 500 supports a wide range of applications, making it ideal for field use and commissioning in conventional, hybrid and digital IEC 61850 substations. The device is available in five variants, each compact and lightweight (12.1-15.6 kg) to suit specific needs. The CMC 500 has been rigorously hardened to minimise cyber threats in substations. Equipped with an ISO/IEC-11889-compliant Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0), it uses certificates and secure boot to prevent the execution of unknown software or malicious code.
