Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has signed a VND4.923 trillion contract with PC1 Group and Power Engineering Consulting joint stock company 4 to bring power from the national grid to Côn Đảo. The project includes a 77.7 km 110kV submarine cable from Sóc Trăng to Côn Đảo, along with underground and overhead transmission lines. Construction begins in December 2024, with power expected to reach Côn Đảo by Q4 2025. The project aims to enhance infrastructure, supporting the island’s economic and sustainable development.
