Reportedly, NTPC Limited is set to establish a nuclear power project in Bihar.
NTPC has sought land from the state government and will conduct a feasibility study for the project. In addition to its nuclear plans, NTPC aims to scale up renewable energy capacity in Bihar. The company is exploring projects in rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar, floating solar, pumped storage, and battery energy storage systems. NTPC also plans to establish battery storage solutions of 3,000-4,000 MWh in the state.
