RECPDCL transfers two SPVs to Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon and Powergrid

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs), Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission Limited to Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Private Limited and Rajasthan IV 4A Power Transmission Limited to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid).

The projects will facilitate the evacuation of 3.5 GW of renewable energy from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone. The Rajasthan IV 4B Power Transmission project includes the establishment of a 765/400 kV substation near Merta, with a capacity of 2 x 1500 MVA, as well as the construction of 577.97 km of 765 kV transmission line and 72.8 km of 400 kV line. The Rajasthan IV 4A Power Transmission project involves a 765/400 kV substation near Ghiror, augmentation of the Barmer-I pooling station, 283.05 km of 765 kV transmission line, and 43.28 km of 400 kV line. Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Private Limited and Powergrid were selected as the transmission service providers for the Rajasthan IV 4B and Rajasthan IV 4A projects, respectively. This selection was made through a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL. The projects will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis, with both scheduled for completion within 24 months.
