NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited through NTPC Green Energy Limited, has declared the commercial operation of the second part capacities of two solar projects.
The 60 MW capacity from the 320 MW Bhainsara solar photovoltaic project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, achieved commercial operation on January 7, 2025, following the first part capacity of 160 MW, which was operationalised on August 28, 2024. Additionally, the 50 MW capacity from the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Madhya Pradesh was declared commercially operational on January 10, 2025, after the first part capacity of 50 MW was commissioned on September 30, 2024.
