Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), has signed a loan agreement worth JPY120 billion with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
JBIC will contribute JPY 72 billion, while the remaining amount will be funded by commercial banks. The loan is part of JBIC’s “GREEN” initiative, which supports projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment. PFC will use the funds to finance renewable energy projects, supporting India’s shift to clean energy sources. This agreement is the largest green financing deal ever signed by JBIC with an Indian company.
