AboitizPower and Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP) have entered into a long-term solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Republic Cement & Building Materials (RCBM). The joint venture, Aboitiz Upgrade Solar (AUSI), will develop, build, and operate a ground-mounted solar project at RCBM’s facility in Bulacan, with RCBM purchasing the clean energy generated. The project, set to be completed by the second half of 2025, aims to reduce operational costs and carbon emissions for the cement company.
