Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package of the 1×800 MW Singareni Thermal Power Project, Stage-II, located in Mancherial district, Telangana.
The scope of work includes the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the boiler, turbine, generator, flue gas desulphurisation system, and associated auxiliaries, along with electrical, control and instrumentation, and balance of plant packages. Additionally, the contract covers associated civil works. The project was awarded through domestic competitive bidding, with an estimated contract value of approximately Rs 67 billion. The execution timeline for the completion of facilities is set at 48 months.
