Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has been declared as the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding process for establishing two inter-state transmission system (ISTS) projects on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
The first project, the transmission scheme for the integration of Davanagere / Chitradurga and Bellary Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Karnataka, involves the construction of a new 765/400/220 kV pooling substation near Davanagere / Chitradurga and a 400/220 kV pooling substation near Bellary. Additionally, the project includes the establishment of 765 kV and 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines, along with upgradation works for existing substations and transmission lines within Karnataka. The second project, Augmentation at Fatehgarh-II PS, Fatehgarh-IV PS (Section-II), and Barmer-I PS, comprises ICT augmentation works at both existing and under-construction substations located in Rajasthan.
