RECPDCL transfers Bidar and Khavda power transmission projects to Powergrid

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has transferred two special purpose vehicles, Bidar Transco Limited and Khavda V-B1B2 Power Transmission Limited to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

Powergrid has emerged as the transmission service provider to develop these projects on a build, own, operate and transfer basis. The transmission projects aim to augment transformation capacity at Bidar Pooling Station in Karnataka and KPS1 & KPS2 substations in Gujarat, facilitating the evacuation of power from renewable energy generators. The implementation period for both projects is 24 months.
