The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved the tariffs for Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) 1,200 MW wind-solar hybrid projects under Tranche VIII, marking one of the first projects under the uniform renewable energy tariff system.
The winning bidders include Juniper Green Energy (150 MW at Rs 3.43 per kWh), Asurari Renewables (300 MW at Rs 3.45 per kWh), Ampin Energy (150 MW at Rs 3.45 per kWh), Adyant Enersol (60 MW at Rs 3.45 per kWh), JSW Neo Energy (300 MW at Rs 3.45 per kWh), and Avaada Energy (240 MW at Rs 3.46 per kWh). This project falls under the new central pool system introduced by the Ministry of Power on October 25, 2023, to standardise renewable tariffs, ensuring efficient power sales through a first-in, first-out mechanism.
