Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh government to provide Rs 268 billion in financial assistance to the state’s power utilities.
The funding will support capital expenditure projects for Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Company Limited, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, and Madhya Pradesh distribution companies. It will be utilised for the development of supercritical thermal units, solar power plants, hydropower station modernization, power evacuation networks, smart metering, and loss reduction initiatives under the revamped distribution sector scheme.
